Day 1: Arrival – Hue (L)
  Our guide and driver will welcome you at the airport/railway station and   transfer you to your hotel in Hue city centre, start touring around the city   after a short break. 
Have a boat trip along Perfume river in about 30 minutes then stop to visit   Thien Mu pagoda, the symbol of Hue. Continue to discover Imperial Citadel from   where the Nguyen’s Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower,   Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden   Purple City. After lunch, visit royal tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh; this guided   tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how   this affected royal life.
  
  Stay overnight at hotel in Hue.
  
  Day 2: Hue - Phong Nha: Discover Paradise caves (B, L)
  Pickup at your hotel in Hue, drive to Quang Binh - land of caves in Vietnam.   Continue your route onto Ho Chi Minh West Trail to reach the drop off point   where you are going to start your caving tour. From this point on, you will have   to hike following our guide to get deep inside the Living Valley to visit   Paradise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in the National Park with a   series of white crystal stalactites resembling glass pillars and many other   spectacular formations. Continue your trip to Mooc Spring Eco Trail which is   well known for its deep blue water, beautiful rapids, waterfalls and vegetation.   At the right time of year the orchid garden will be filled with colorful flowers   and exotic birds. Here, you can swim, kayak, cross the adventurous bridge or   simply relax and embrace the tranquillity of the Mooc Spring. Finally, drive   back to your hotel in Phong Nha area for overnight stay.
  
  Day 3: Phong Nha – DMZ – Hoian (B, L)
  After breakfast at hotel, leave Dong Hoi for Quang Tri province, visit DMZ   (Demilitarized zone) to learn about Vietnam War history of this area. The DMZ is   the old border area that divided North and South Vietnam until the end of the   Vietnam War in 1975 and was once the bloodiest battle field that killed hundred   thousands of soldiers and residences from both sides. Many ruins of old American   military base still exist here.
   
We will visit Ben Hai river, Hien Luong Bridge and Vinh Moc tunnels where   entire village ever lived for two and a half year to avoid the intense bombing   of American force. After lunch at local restaurant, continue to visit Rock Pile   (US marine look-out), Dak Rong Bridge (one of the main branches of the Ho Chi   Minh trail), and Khe Sanh Combat Base, the site of a U.S base which fell under   attack in early 1968. The attack of the North Vietnam Army on Khe Sanh was a   diversion for the 1968 Tet Offensive in the south. The old airfield of red dirt   still remains. 
   
After the tour, proceed to Hoian, stay overnight at hotel.
  
  Day 4: Hoian rural biking (B, L)
  Your guide will meet you at your hotel lobby, then start cycling around Hoian   toward Tra Que vegetable village. Upon arrivval, you will walk in the village,   meet local people working on their gardens. The local farmer will teach you all   about cultivation methods and how to protect developing vegetable from the   insects as well as join the farmers in preparing gardening activities such as   raking the ground, sowing, watering greens, transplanting and tending greens.
  
  Continue riding through paddy field, Ba Le market, kindergarten ... until   reaching Van Lang fisherman village and Bay Mau coconut water forest - about 7   hectares, surrounded by mangrove forests, canals, houses covered by coconut   water leaf .
You will be warmly welcomed at Mr. Han – a 3 generations family, taste of   green tea and stroll through the village. You will row a basket boat within the   hands of skillful locals and discover their techniques of traditional fishery in   water coconut forest.
  
  Back Mr. Han’ family for enjoy a foot bath with medicinal herbs, traditional   therapeutic practice before getting ready to prepare lunch with a local family.   Lunch will feature many local delicacies, such as Tam Huu spring rolls, BanhXeo   local pancakes, grilled fish in banana leaf and others. After lunch, free time   and take a short rest before returning to your hotel in Hoian town. Free time in the evening.
Day 5: Hoian Departure (B)
  Free time to discover the charming town of Hoian. The ancient architecture of   Hoi An is a fascinating combination of Vietnamese traditional characters with   Chinese and Japanese influence. There are plenty to see in this delightful and   tranquil town, some of which are the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the   Pottery Museum, the 200 years old Tan Ky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda, the vibrant   market. The trip ends after your transfer to Da Nang Airport for departure.
