Location: is located in Phu Thuy
village, Gia Lam, a suburban district of Hanoi.
Characteristic: This pagoda, often called Sui pagoda, It was built in the
Ly times. Many 17th, 18th and 19th century remains are still kept here, such as
a 1.15 meter high lacquer coated wood statue of the Buddhas of Three Times,
dragon-carved rafters, stone gongs and steles and great bells. Lady Y Lan, the
First Concubine is worshipped here. Phu Thuy village is also a home to many
well-known scholars and poets such as Nguyen Huy Can (1728-1780), Nguyen Huy
Luong (in the 18th century) and Cao Ba Quat (1808-1854).Its open space, combined
in harmony with its ancient architecture, makes it a variety in Vietnamese
Buddhist architecture. The pagoda is recognized as one the national
historical-cultural vestiges by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
