The Japanese Culture Days opened in the central province of Thanh
Hoa on January 6 as the first event of the National Tourism Year 2015.
Situated on the southern shore of the Red River Delta, Trang An
is a spectacular landscape of limestone karst peaks permeated with valleys, some
of which are submerged, and surrounded by steep, almost vertical cliffs.
On 10 January 2015, in Mau Son Tourism Area (Lang Son Province),
Lang Son Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize Mau Son Winter
Tourism Festival 2015 to promote tourism potential of Mau Son, and also attract
tourists and investors to Mau Son Tourism Area.
On Dec 30 2014, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism
announced 10 outstanding tourism events in 2014 including:
Tourist sites nationwide attracted large numbers of visitors
during the calendar New Year’s holiday (Jan 1st-4th, 2015), significantly
contributing to the sector’s revenue.
Many localities across the nation, particularly tourist
attractions, welcomed a large number of visitors during the first four days of
the New Year.
The central province of Thua Thien - Hue held a ceremony on
December 30 to welcome the 30 millionth tourist in the period of 1994-2014 to
the complex of Hue monuments in Hue city, a UNESCO-recognised World Heritage
site.
The Viet Nam-ASEAN Silk Festival was opened on December 28 at the
Hoi An Silk Village in the central province of Quang Nam, bringing together over
30 artisans from well-known silk village across the country.
The 100 sq.m old wooden house owned by Nguyen Thi Thai, 66, in
Tuan Mau commune, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province, has become a stop-over
for many foreign tourists over the two years when they visited the northern
locality.
Relevant authorities, businesses in northern Ninh Binh province
have gathered in a recent workshop to seek ways to enhance the management and
protection of the environment and cultural values in developing tourism.
National Flag Carrier, Vietnam Airlines, launched a new –
Terminal 2 – at the Noi Bai International Airport with the first flight to
Singapore having departed December 25 at 10:45 with some 167 passengers on
board.
