More Indonesian heritages registered to UNESCO
Indonesian Culture and Tourism Ministry on Monday
registered three of the country's heritages to the UNESCO, a media quoting a
Minister reported here.
The heritages include Bali tradition, Papua's handmade furnitures and the
miniature of Indonesia Park.
"Today the Culture and Tourism Ministry registers three heritages to the UNESCO
as the ministry's responsibility," Indonesian Culture and Tourism Minister Jero
Wacik was quoted by Antara news wire as saying.
The registering of the heritages increased the number of Indonesian heritages
included in the world organization preservation.
"With the registration of the heritages, it raises our proud as citizen of
Indonesia which has been rich of cultural heritages," he said.
The registration would made the heritage on the radar of the UNESCO for an
immediate attention and protection. Besides it would ease financing for their
protection.
