Newcomer Air Mekong unveils promotion sale

Air Mekong, a Vietnamese private air carrier that has tied up with the US-based Skywest Airlines, has announced a month-long promotion to mark its launch October 9, with 8000 tickets going on sale today.
A round trip from Hanoi to ConDao and Phu Quoc starts at VND1,200,000 (US$61).
Tickets on the Hanoi- Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi- Dalat, Hanoi-Pleiku, and Hanoi- Buon Me Thuot sectors cost VND800,000.
On the Hanoi-Danang sector and from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, Pleiku, and Buon Me Thuot, it costs VND400,000.
Air Mekong has four Canadian-made Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft with 90 seats in business and economy classes.
It has recruited 40 foreign pilots and is training 50 Vietnamese flight attendants.
In November the carrier plans to increase the number of routes from eight to 10.
