Vietnamese artists perform in China

The Central Music and Dance Theatre gave a special performance in Beijing, China, on June 19 to welcome the Vietnam-China Friendship Year 2010 and 60 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Vietnamese artists impressed the audience by folk and modern dances, solo performances of instrumental music, and fashion shows of traditional Ao Dai (Long Dress) and ethnic costumes.
Addressing the exchange programme, Vietnamese ambassador to China Nguyen Van Tho noted with satisfaction the fine development of the strategic comprehensive cooperation partnership between Vietnam and China. He said such a cultural exchange programme will help promote mutual friendship and understanding between the two countries.
During their trip to China, Vietnamese artists will give two more performances in Henan province on June 21-24.
