Fruit bonanza awaits festival goers in Vietnam metro

The 14th annual Southern Fruit Festival will take place from June 1 – 16 at the Suoi Tien Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City.

This year’s festival will attract participants from more than 15 provinces from the south, Bac Giang Province from the north, the US Apple Association and Vietnam-China Trade Promotion Center.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Suoi Tien Culture – Tourism Company, organizers of the event, said they are expecting to receive more than a million visitors thanks to discounts of up to 40 percent offered on more than 1000 tons of fruit of at least 45 varieties.
Besides the launching of Fruit Floating Market, which will remain open until August, the festival will feature a fruit plastic arts competition, a safe and high quality fruit competition and an exhibition of ornamental fish and plants.
