Cham cultural space introduced in Hanoi
An exhibition introducing the Cham culture will
open on May 28th at the Trung Nguyen Creative Space, 36 Dien Bien Phu Street,
Hanoi.
Along with several 150-year-old literary works, some 50 pieces of pottery will
be showcased.
Notably, visitors will have an opportunity to contemplate the oldest and
original patterns of Cham brocade.
More interestingly, artist Thuan Thi Tru, nicknamed “the Golden Hand of
Vietnamese brocade”, will introduce Cham’s culture through her dance and
brocade-weaving performance.
The artist has successfully collected over 30 Cham patterns, deemed lost, and
created around 50 other patterns.
