Hanoi to set off fireworks on April 30

Hanoi will have a firework display at 9pm on April 30 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Liberation of South Vietnam and National Unification Day, the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and other major events.
Funding for 15-minute fireworks to be set off in 14 locations come from the state budget and other sources.
Five locations for long-range viewing will include Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Hoang Cau Lake, Van Quan Lake and Thang Loi Hotel.
The other nine locations will be for short-range viewing.
