First African country joins Hue Festival

An art troupe from Senegal will participate in the Hue Festival 2010, as recently confirmed by the French ambassador.
The participation of Senegal, the first African country at the Hue Festival, brings the total number of the countries to take part in the Hue Festival 2010 to 26.
During the festival, 49 art programmes of different genres will be performed by international artists, such as dance, circus, mariachi, stage, arrangement art, puppet, and others.
The host revealed that there will also be various new programmes, such as an “Oriental Evening”, a show of traditional costumes by nine Asian countries, and an exhibition on ancient capitals in the world.
Some art shows by both domestic and international artists will take place in the mountainous districts of A Luoi and Nam Dong.
