Tourists flock to Vietnam during Tet

On the third day of the Lunar New Year (February 16) the northern province of Hai Phong received the 6-star cruise ship Silveria, carrying 360 tourists from the US and Europe.
This is the first luxury cruise to dock at Dinh Vu seaport in the province in 2010.
This year the province hopes to receive 10 percent more tourists than last year, which welcomed around 4 million, 700,000 of them are foreign tourists.
The Nha Trang provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism says that there is has been sudden increase in the number of tourists visiting the province during Tet with the room booking rate of 3-star hotels reaching at more than 90 percent.
