First Buddhist tour to kick off in January
Members of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) will participate in and guide
the first religious tour in Vietnam this January.
The first tour of this kind will commence in January 15, offering a trip to 10
pagodas in the southwestern region.
Trinh Thuy Quynh, Director of a pilgrimage company under the VBS, said the aim
is to promote the unique spiritual and cultural values of Buddhism, which has
had an age-long influence on Vietnam.
Tourists will have a chance to admire the precious Buddhist relics, attend
religious rituals and experience a monk’s life in pagodas, she said.
Entrepreneurs, women and young people can join in the tour to visit well-known
pagodas across the country.
