Vietnam to welcome more tourists next year
Vietnam hopes to receive around 4.2 to 4.5 million
international visitors in 2010, said Nguyen Van Tuan, Head of the Vietnam
National Tourism Administration, at a recent seminar on the sector’s strategy
for 2020 with its vision for 2030, in Hanoi.
According to Tuan, in November this year alone, Vietnam welcomed nearly 388,000
tourists, an increase of 70.2% compared to the previous year, and 38.6% to the
same period last year.
Tuan also said that the number of international visitors coming to Vietnam will
increase by 10% in 2010 in comparison with this year’s figure, reaching 4.2 -
4.25 million people.
