German publisher “New Life”
has published a book by German journalist Hellmut Kapfenberger about President
Ho Chi Minh.
Entitled “Ho Chi Minh”, the 300-page book is a valuable chronicle of Ho Chi
Minh. The book was published to celebrate the late President’s 119th birthday
(May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2009) and it has attracted wide attention from German
readers and researchers.
This author used documentation of many famous politicians, cultural experts,
scholars and researchers in Vietnam, Laos, China, France, the US and other
countries.
The author also wrote about the anti-Vietnam War campaign of a generation of
students, young people and peace-lovers in the US, Germany and around the world.
Journalist Hellmut Kapfenberger worked as a correspondent of East Germany’s AND
news agency in Vietnam from 1970 to 1973 and from 1980 to 1984.
