Phu Tho organizing for the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

      The northern mountainous Phu Tho provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the plan to provide information and organize culture, sports and tourism activities to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The plan aims to complete the projects on the death anniversary of Hung King and Hung King festival in 2010; and the culture, sports and tourism festival of ethnic minority groups in the northeastern provinces.
In 2010, the death anniversary of Hung King will be held at the national level. It will begin the activities to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi. Apart from usual activities, Phu Tho province will organize specific cultural performances, an exhibition on books and objects about the Hung king period and the Ly Tran dynasty, and a beauty contest.
