Van Duong Thanh and childhood memory
Vietnamese-Swedish painter Van
Duong Thanh will open a painting exhibition named “Childhood Memory” at Sofitel
Plaza Hotel, 1 Thanh Nien road, Hanoi on April 8.
This exhibition will display her latest works from the past three years, about
Hanoi of the past and the present.
This is a collection of abstract paintings, with many large-size works depicting
modern life. Each painting is a piece of music with different colours and tones.
Van Duong Thanh didn’t use a lot of colours in her paintings, but her colour-mixing
technique is very sophisticated, and makes her paintings special.
Of her 1,600 works, some belong to famous private collections in many countries
and famous museum in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Spain and Sweden.
