Da Nang opens private beach access for the disabled

This activity is the part of the annual program “Da Nang – The Summer Destination 2016”, organized by Da Nang Department of Tourism.
Da Nang has opened two private accesses for people with mobility disability. One access is located at Eastern Sea Park and the other is at the junction between Vo Nguyen Giap Road and Hoang Ke Viem Road (in front of Holiday Beach – Da Nang Hotel).
The accesses leading to the beach is designed for wheelchair users, disabled or accompanied disabled people. They aim to expand the sea space to meet the needs of locals and visitors, especially those with mobility disability.
Each access is 40m long and large enough for two wheelchairs to avoid each other. The surface is assembled from sheets made of composite and fiberglass.
There are also more cultural and sports activities in the program “Da Nang – The Summer Destination 2016”. In addition to annual events, such as a competition for waiters and waitress, “bai choi” singing, an open paragliding cup, arts installation and bartender performance etc., this year, a variety of new activities will be organized, including a completion on sand sculpture, street parade, etc..
