Luring more tourists from Western European countries to Viet Nam

To promote Viet Nam tourism in Western European market, from 9 –
13 November 2015, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in
collaboration with Viet Nam Tourism Association, Vietnam Airlines and Vietnamese
diplomatic missions abroad organized Viet Nam tourism roadshows in France, Spain
and Germany.
In his opening speech, Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director General of VNAT
appreciated the potentials of these markets for Viet Nam tourism. He affirmed
that Viet Nam always welcomes international visitors and facilitates expansion
of tourism cooperation among foreign and Vietnamese tourism enterprises.
Along with popular destinations as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Long Bay (Quang
Ninh Province), Sa Pa (Lao Cai Province), Complex of Hue Monuments (Thua Thien –
Hue Province), Hoi An Ancient Town (Quang Nam Province), beaches in Da Nang, Nha
Trang, Binh Thuan…, an abundance of new destinations and services were also
introduced to French, Spanish and German people, including Dong Van Karst
Plateau Geopark (Ha Giang Province), Phu Quoc Island (Kien Giang Province),
river tourism in Mekong Delta…
Viet Nam tourism roadshows attracted the attention of French, Spanish and German
tourism enterprises and media agencies. The participants focused on discussing
about visa waiver policy, products and services of Viet Nam tourism and Vietnam
Airlines. They proposed Vietnamese Government to extend visa waiver program for
citizens of Western European countries from 1 year to 5 years and length of stay
in Viet Nam from 15 days to 30 days. According to the participants, Viet Nam
tourism should boost promotional activities in France, Spain and Germany in the
coming time.
In the framework of Viet Nam tourism roadshow in France, on 9 November 2015,
VNAT’s delegation led by Deputy Director General Ha Van Sieu worked with the
Embassy of Viet Nam in France, Vietnamese Cultural Centre in France; met The
France-Viet Nam Friendship Association, Vietnamese Enterprise Association in
France to unify some policies for expanding and developing Viet Nam tourism in
France.

November and in Frankfurt (Germany) on 13 November, Deputy Director General Ha
Van Sieu had meetings with representatives of Vietnamese Community in these two
cities to call their help on promoting safe, friendly and quality Viet Nam
