Contest "Discover the World Heritage site in Vietnam and the ASEAN countries" launched

A contest about the World Heritage site in Vietnam and the ASEAN countries has been launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnam to join in ASEAN and the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community which will be established in late 2015.
The competition aims to create a useful and interesting playground for those who love and desire to learn about the world heritage in Vietnam and the ASEAN countries which have been recognized as world heritage by UNESCO.
Accordingly, the authors participating in the contest showed submissions under diverse styles, with a rich variety of genres including articles, studies and projects; reportage, short films; graphic clip, etc. Thereby all participants can give their opinions, programs and plans in order to contribute to the conservation and especially the effective role of heritage in community life.
In addition, test takers can also contribute ideas and proposals aimed at propaganda and education on the conservation and promotion of World Heritage values of Vietnam and ASEAN; or they can mention and praise the good examples, the creative activities in the conservation and promotion of heritage values in the community.
Through this competition, the World Heritage sites in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries have the opportunity to get more attention from the community, thereby they will become better factors for the targeted promotion and development of tourism in the country as well as in the ASEAN ones.
The contest was launched by Foundation for Culture (Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in collaboration with Fund of Supporting and Conservation of Cultural Heritage in Vietnam (Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association), implemented from August 25 to November 23.
