Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to offer new year program
    
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi will host an annual New 
Year Program on January 28-29, to showcase traditional customs through games, 
activities and food tastings.
Visitors will have an opportunity to explore the traditional rituals of people 
from the Phu Tho area, such as “xoan” singing, catching ells, making Vietnamese 
cake, and playing games of Cao Lan minority people.
According to a press release from the museum this week, the event includes 16 
traditional games from difference ethnic minorities including Hmong, Ede and 
Thai.
In addition, children will have an opportunity to learn more about the 12 
animals, draw on Bat Trang ceramic pottery, and taste Vietnamese traditional 
cuisine.
Visitors will be able to learn how to make special cakes from Phu Tho and many 
areas of Vietnam, as well as to try on ethnic minorities’ costumes from Hmong, 
Dao, Thai, Phu La, and take photographs.
Tickets, priced from VND3,000 to 25,000, are available at the museum, located on 
Nguyen Van Huyen Street, Cau Giay District.
