Vietnam’s Nguyen Van Huu was presented the first Asian record
certificate for the biggest gemstone-made dragon, in Ho Chi Minh City on October
30 by Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, general director of Asia Book of Records.
The presentation ceremony took place at the 21st meeting of Vietnam record
holders organized by the Vietnam Record Book Center, Viet kings, in Ho Chi Minh
City.
On the occasion, Viet kings presented their plans of a tourism fair project in
Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, the release of a book of Vietnamese records in
English-French and Chinese languages, travel itinerary for top 10 spiritual
destinations and top 10 beaches in the country, and the longevity celebrations
of five centenarians.
Viet kings also recognized 53 national records at the event. Amongst them, five
are related to the legendary Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail, the longest and
highest road used as a strategic route during wartime in the country.
