Vietnamese resorts, hotels gain recognition

Conde Nast Traveler, a top travel publication, has praised seven of Vietnam’s hotels and resorts at the 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards, which is based on voting preference of travelers.
The Life Heritage Resort Hoi An, The Nam Hai, the La Residence Hotel & Spa and Evason Hideaway appeared in the top 20 in Asia. Only one other Asian destination, Bali, had more resorts in the top 20.
This was the La Residence Hotel & Spa in Hue’s first listing, whereas the Life Heritage Resort Hoi An again cracked the top 10, grabbing the No. 9 spot.
The Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and the Park Hyatt Saigon in HCMC secured spots among Asia’s top 100 hotels, while the Majestic Saigon was in the top 125.
The Readers’ Choice Awards polled 28,876 readers.
