Russian cities host Vietnamese Culture Days

The Russian cities of Moscow and St Petersburg will host Viet Nam
Culture Days for one week beginning tomorrow, with many Vietnamese artists
scheduled to perform.
"On the occasion, we'll try to introduce Vietnamese culture to international
visitors in Russia," said Nguyen Van Tinh, director of the International
Co-operation Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which is
co-sponsoring the event with its Russian counterpart.
Vietnamese culture and physical environment will also be introduced through
films, a photo exhibition, and seminars on both Vietnamese literature and the
impact of Russian literature in Viet Nam. A campaign will also be conducted by
the Viet Nam National Tourism Administration to promote Vietnamese tourism and
get people to vote online for Ha Long Bay as a Wonder of Nature.
Workshops will be held in each of the hosts cities with the expected
participation of 150 travel agents.
"We believe that, through these activities, international tourists will get to
know Viet Nam better as an attractive destination," Tinh said.
The opening ceremony will be held in Moscow tomorrow.
