In the afternoon, we leave the city center for Cu Chi commune. Located 60 km from HCMC, Cu Chi is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - the network of over 200 km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens.
Today, ducks and water buffalos happily co-exist in the rivers along the side of the road. However, the peaceful rural rice paddy scenery belies the area’s violent history. Visitors will find it hard to imagine the destruction, damage & defoliation over this whole area, caused by bombing and mines. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone".
Before entering the tunnels visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. You will spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava (guerrilla’s food during the war). Return to HCMC.

Yes, but you are strongly advised to plan and book the tour in advance as we keep the right to close some days (or more) before departure due to overload. Furthermore your tour involved some trains, flights so it depends much on the availability of tickets. For Cancellation policy, please see our terms and conditions.
A- What is the differences between "Tourist Option" and "Superior Option"?
The most distinctive feature is accommodation. Superior option is upgrade to 3-star hotels. The second is size of the group we join. Maximum number of travelers in superior option is 12 only (except on train, Halong Bay cruising).

A- Why the expense of the tour is so low? What about quality?
While trying to reduce cost, we concern about quality to keep our business sustainable. Hereunder we describe our service in detail with advantages as well as disadvantage for your consideration.
A- How can you reduce the tour cost?
Cost of the tour is low due to below factors:
Accommodation: All hotels are 2, 3-star, they are not big hotels and most of them are family-run so the cost for accommodation is much cheaper than higher level hotels. [Advantage: Hotel in center, easy to reach tourist attractions and go out for meals. Disadvantage: sometimes the staffs are not professional as in deluxe hotels]
Meal: In big cities or at tourist attractions we skip meals in the program. [Advantage: You have great chance to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine which different in areas in Vietnam. You can also select wide range of International food available in Cities in Vietnam. Disadvantage: for some people, trying something new is not easy, especially in a strange country]
Transport: For transferring within a city we use taxi, with long distance between cities, we use public means of transportations like air plane, train which are much cheaper than private vehicle reserved solely for you. [Advantage: You have real experience with local life. Disadvantage: it is not so pleasant to share with strangers even in short time]
Group tour: You will join group tour randomly with other travelers so your expense is shared, much cheaper than go on tour with private guide, driver and vehicle that reserved for you only. [Advantage: You have more fun, have chance to share your emotion, your experience with others. Disadvantage: You have to keep pace, on time with the group, sometimes you have to wait for others’ delay]
Guide: Tourist guide go with you on touring days only [Advantage: You feel more comfortable to go anywhere, freely explore more. Disadvantage: you have to manage yourself with procedure at airports]
Entrance fees: We calculate entrance fees in touring days only thus help reduce the cost.
With our sustainable tourism policy, we get strong support from local service providers, Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam Administration of Tourism thus we can offer very reasonable price for this tour.
A- Do you discount for group?
As this is group tour, everyone has the same price. We cannot offer group discount like private tour but we have bonus like visa arrangement, travel map, local sim card for group booking that reach a specific number.
A- How much extra money do I need for this tour? Any hidden cost?
All other expense such as entrance fees (in touring days), transport, meals (not all), hotels are included in the tour price. We estimate you need approximately VND 350.000 to 500.000 (~US$ 17-25) per day which will be used for personal use only, i.e. some meals, drinks, souvenirs, going around, etc.. Of course it depends much on you, please note that at present (2017) the average monthly income in Hanoi is about $350. Our price includes VAT and service charge, service is describe clearly, nothing hidden.
A- What about single travel?
Except overnight on train, accommodation sharing is applied for members of a group only. It means single traveler or group of travelers in odd number have to pay for single supplement. You can see the single surcharge when select number of person in your group.
