Introduction: A unique combined trip of Vietnam and Cambodia Highlights. After a fort-night touring Vietnam culture, enter Cambodia from the Lower Mekong river, cruise up the Tonle Sap River. Vietnam is constantly surprising. The landscapes of vibrant green rice paddies, limestone sea cliffs and great rivers provide a backdrop to a culture that is as tenacious as it is fascinating. Much of life in Vietnam is lived out in the streets, and in the great cities of Saigon and Hanoi. We are able to feel part of this endless spectacle of daily life. But we also have time in places where the pace is slower, while cruising on magnificently scenic Halong Bay, relaxing and doing offshore activities as snorkeling in Nha Trang. We also spend some days in the charming ancient port town of Hoi An before starting cooking lesson in the Imperial city of Hue. Heading south, we arrive at the steamy and vibrant city of Saigon. From here we explore the one-time guerrilla stronghold of Cu Chi tunnels and the agriculturally rich Mekong Delta before existing to Cambodia. Here we visit one of the world's great surviving archaeological wonders, the temple complex of Angkor.
